The following comprises the privacy policy and website privacy policy of Privacy Software Corporation (PSC) and its subsidiaries. It explains how we handle any information you may give us.

Privacy Software Corporation does not initially obtain any personally-identifying information from visitors to our sites. We do not engage in dispensing "cookies" or any other form of digital identification files. All information pertinent to a transaction, as provided to us from our dealers (including name date, email address and products purchased), is maintained separately, and is inaccessible from the Internet. Maintaining this information ensures that you will receive help in the event you have a problem installing or running the software, and in the event you wish to upgrade in the future. This information, as well as your email address in the case of customer support/upgrade questions, is not divulged to any third parties for any purpose by us or our dealers, without your consent.

In the case of information provided to us by email, we do not divulge any information to any third parties. Information in your email may be transferred to the appropriate person(s) within the Company to expedite accurate service. Typically, this information is not retained by us after our contact. The only exception to this are those customers who, by registering, request we retain their information for upgrade notices or notice of product operating system support.

The PSC customer database is maintained off-line, and is used exclusively by us to verify customer status. We do offer opt-in mailing lists, including customer upgrade lists for our products, the BOClean antimalware update list, and the PSC Newsletter series. Digital River maintains an opt-in list (at time of purchase) for use in PSC related promotions.

If you link to another site from any of our pages, you are leaving our purview, and we cannot be held responsible for any information that may be gathered at a linked site.

When you go to place an order with us, you will receive a cookie from Digital River. It can only be accessed by Digital River served sites, of which we are one. It is necessary to have the cookie to complete your transaction. You can accept it without worry. It contains an encrypted identifier for your computer, and contains no personal information. No other site can access or read this cookie. Digital River has earned our trust, and we feel that they'll earn yours, too.

If you purchase either NSClean or IEClean (depending on the browser you use), it can, at your option, readily vanish once you "Clean" your computer. BOClean will uninstall clean as well.

Privacy Software does not believe you should be concerned about any gathering of personal information when you use our software or visit our sites. We do not utilize any spyware or adware in any of our products (including freeware). We do not subsidize our product pricing with networked advertising on our websites, as they generally distribute persistent cookies that are used for consumer profiling.
